Would the Book Release Party be fun for children? Are children allowed? We are 3 1/2 hours away in Memphis and it sounds fun, but it would also be a long drive.
One of my 10 year olds is super excited to go to his first Book Release party (he’s a good kid) and my husband said that it is just the right amount of crazy, so God willing and the creek don’t rise, we will be there. So that’s plus five for Feechie fun. We got our tickets. And we have started the audiobook for Bark of the Bog Owl so we can be ready.
I think we should record other read aloud parents versions of the bark. My wife and I do it very differently and my son does it a third way, and then I heard JR do it on an old podcast and it was a fourth way... I bet there are dozens and dozens of ways that one bark is vocalized and it would be awesome to record some of them!
Oh my, Tyler's poem is just beautiful. Thank you for sharing this, Jonathan. Even if we're standing on the edges listening in to the conversations, they are rich.

Children are the target audience!
Will you have copies available at the release party? We have the first book pre-ordered, but it won’t be arriving here.
Yes, there will be copies of the Bog Owl (and if all goes well, there will be copies of Books 2 and 3). Also, thanks for preordering!

"God willing and the creek don't rise" is an excellent phrase and should be used in more daily conversation!
And for the audiobook, did you record the bark once or repeat it every time?
