I'm liking "bone house" as the word for a human body. That one should come back. It reminds me of one of my Bible professors who used to refer to our bodies as our "earth suits."

This is excellent, Jonathan! And I’m with you that the abandonment of head bowl represents an unfortunate loss for us all.

Loving "Bone-house" for body and "head-bowl" for skull, haha!

I had some extra time in my class today, so I discussed this email with them. They all enjoyed the Wycliffe Bible version of Psalm 91:5. :)

All of these word origins are fascinating--am I right in guessing “pandemonium” also has origins in “daimon”?

Also, I just started following Jake Parker and a couple artists in their Three-Point Perspective podcast. I had no idea that he started Inktober! (Of course, I’m slowly realizing that these artists are actually pretty active in their work and have been for years--it’s kind of funny when you step into something and slowly realize it’s much bigger than your thought.)

"Pandemonium" was actually coined by our old friend John Milton. In Paradise Lost, Pandemonium is the hall where all the demons gather (or live?). Pan (all) + demonium = pandemonium!
