I love the coordinating conjunctions mnemonic FANBOYS. I probably knew this once, but when I scanned the hard drive of my mind, going back fifty-five years, all I found was FANB . . .

I love the exhortation: “Be strong; resist the temptation to put a comma before and” when it’s not a compound sentence.

As a general rule, I'm a little comma happy. This is helpful! (Also, now I'm overanalyzing every single comma placement in this long, pointless, but hopefully humorous, sentence). Tell me if I got any wrong!

I had a very humble education and apparently, as it would seem, I bypassed grammar altogether. Anyhow, I'm taking these lessons on commas very seriously. Thank you for plainly demystifying the comma almighty.
