In which we get another glimpse into Ms Wilma's prayer life
Our neighbor Ms Wilma was a sweetheart in her way, but she harbored a deep antipathy for any speed #demon who drove too fast on our busy street. Also, she could not abide litterbugs. Once she set up a big appliance box in her driveway, right by the road. On it she had painted the following prayer:
Dear Lord—
Please give lung cancer
to whoever has been
throwing cigarette butts
in my driveway.
Amen.
